# CareAnchor Privacy Policy

CareAnchor is designed to help patients, caregivers, and family advocates organize complex care information in one private workspace.

## Information You Provide

CareAnchor may store information you enter or upload, including:

- Name and email address
- Diagnosis or care concern
- Appointments and visit preparation notes
- Medication, treatment, symptom, and care-plan notes
- Questions for the care team
- Insurance claim information
- Uploaded PDFs and clinical documents
- Family invite details and shared care updates

## Payment and Account Information

CareAnchor uses third-party payment tools such as Pabbly and Stripe. CareAnchor stores payment status, plan, customer ID, subscription ID, and subscription dates. CareAnchor does not store full payment card details.

## How Information Is Used

CareAnchor uses your information to:

- Provide your care coordination workspace
- Save and restore your care records
- Share family updates when you create invite access
- Help manage account, payment, and support needs
- Improve product safety, reliability, and usability

## Family Sharing

If you create family access, invited people may see the information included for their access level. You control who receives invite codes and should share them carefully.

## Health Record Integrations

Future health-record integrations, including MyChart/Epic or other FHIR-based connections, may allow you to import health data from healthcare organizations. These connections should use secure patient authorization. You should never share your portal password directly with CareAnchor or any other app.

If health-record import is added, CareAnchor should request only the data needed for the feature and should allow you to disconnect access.

## Security

CareAnchor uses login sessions, hashed passwords, access controls, and server-side storage. No online system can guarantee perfect security, so users should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information and should keep passwords private.

## Data Removal

You may export your care record from the app. You may request account or data deletion by contacting admin@careanchor.us.

## Not for Emergencies

CareAnchor is not an emergency system and is not monitored as a clinical service. For urgent or life-threatening symptoms, contact emergency services or the appropriate care team directly.
